Each player will bring a 1500 point list (3000-points total per team). Each player can bring a maximum of 1 Dreadnaught type model, and lists may not contain any models with the Unique subtype. Allied detachments may not be taken in this event, your ally should be standing at the table with you!
Event Special Rules
Players will be scored in two ways. Their “Team Score” and their “Individual Score.”
Team Score is the total Victory Points earned over the course of 3 games by your team. Individual Score is earned separately through the event special mechanic Betrayal!
Betrayal
Once during the event, a player may declare they are betraying their Teammate. This may be done at the beginning any turn after the 2nd. The Betrayer then takes the next turn, followed by their former teammate, and then the opposing team, with the turn order continuing as such until the end of the game.
When a player commits a Betrayal, they no longer treat their Teammates models as Friendly, and can attack and be attacked as if they were opposing models.
The Warlord of the betrayed player (Not the player who declared Betrayal!) gains Preferred Enemy against all of their former teammates' models, and grants the same Preferred Enemy to any unit they have joined. In addition, they will gain a bonus 1 VP if their former teammates’ Warlord is slain by their models, or a bonus 3 VP if they were slain by an attack made by their own Warlord.
After a player has committed a Betrayal, both players from their team count their victory points separately, continuing from where their team score had started.
E.g. After turn 3, Evan and Frank have scored 5 Victory points as a team. Frank Betrays Evan, and both of their individual Victory point totals start at 5.
Each Scenario will have unique scoring opportunities for players once a Betrayal has happened.
Unbreakable Bonds
Much like Betrayal, once during the event, starting on Turn 2 a team may agree to declare an Unbreakable Bond. After this point, neither player on the team may declare a Betrayal for this game.
If a team has declared an Unbreakable Bond and their models are engaged in the same combat against an opposing unit, all friendly models involved in the combat gain the Stubborn rule.
Each Scenario will have unique scoring opportunities for players after declaring an Unbreakable Bond.
There will be prizes for Top Team, Top Individual, Best Painted, and Best Sport
