Once again we are hosting our Holiday 40k tournament, this time with a SpeedHammer twist to help you get to your Christmas dinner on time! The proceeds from this event will be donated to the Children’s Fund Christmas Tree of Hope.
When: Saturday, December 23rd, 9:30am Registration, 10am Round 1 Starts
Entry Fee: $20 per player or 6 Heroes Rewards (Pizza lunch included!).
Format: 3 Rounds, 1000 Points, 10th Edition, Leviathan Mission Deck Secondaries (Each player will need their own set of Leviathan cards for Secondary Objectives), Custom Primary Objectives and Mission Rules.
Primary Missions, the Mission Rule, and the Deployment Map will be determined by the TO for all tables each round.
Terrain for this event is pre-set.
Rules Enforcement Level: Casual
Recommended Audience: Any. New and existing players are welcome, though we recommend at least some familiarity with the core rules.
Each round will have a round timer of 1.5 hours, in addition to each table having a Chess Clock with each player having 45 Minutes of play time. When a player is out of time on their clock, they may not take any action that requires them to make a choice, though they may still roll saves, and score objectives as normal. Clocks may not be paused by anyone other than a judge or event organizer.
Models are not required to be painted (Though you will lose out on 10 "Battle Ready" victory points if they aren't!) but they must be fully assembled. All models are expected to be WYSIWYG to a reasonable standard. Exceptions will be made for themed units or armies. If in doubt about whether or not a "Counts as" model is okay, please contact us with a picture of your model before the event.
“The Ugly Sweater” Painting Award: Rather than doing our usual Best Painted award, players are encouraged to paint up a model in a holiday theme! We’ll have a special prize for those winning this award that isn’t just store credit.
