Note: Insert designed for game with external box dimensions of 25.9 x 25.9 x 7.1 cm.
Insert compatible with with Marvel United®, including Tales of Asgard® and Rise of the Black Panther® expansions. And separately compatible with the Return of the Sinister Six®, Guardians of the Galaxy Remix®, and Enter the Spider-Verse® expansions, more on this below. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. In addition to this insert we also have a suggested solution for the Kickstarter Promos Box®, please see below.
FS-MUTD is arranged in up to three layers, with an additional tray for seven miniatures on the bottom layer. The insert includes trays for storing and organising all of the game components. The card tray is sized so that all cards can be sleeved. Each of the miniature trays have slots of varying sizes to store each of the differently sized miniatures form the game.
When packing the box, first place the villain dashboards on top of the card tray in the recess provided. Next place the location sheets on top of the large miniatures tray. Lastly add the rule books and mission guide. This fully fills the box and allows for vertical storage of the game.
The FS-MUTD insert works equally well for the Return of the Sinister Six®, Guardians of the Galaxy Remix®, and Enter the Spider-Verse® Expansions. The insert can be added to one of the three expansion boxes and used to store all of the content together. Again the insert is arranged in up to three layers and all cards can be sleeved.
When used in this way there are less game tokens, so you can either use the additional token trays to give additional storage for the base game tokens, giving you trays for both sides of the table, or simply invert one of the trays to fill the space under the smaller miniature tray.
When packing the expansion box follow the same steps as for the main game, with the villain dashboards and location sheets on top of the trays. Note that the hexagon shaped sinister six dashboard should be placed on top of the rule books. As in the main game box, this fully fills the box allowing for vertical storage.
As the expansion boxes are smaller than the main game box, when the box is fully loaded the lid will lift by 21 mm.
When working on the design for FS-MUTD we of course also investigated making an insert for the Kickstarter Promos Box®. Unfortunately there is just too much content here to make an insert with separate slots viable. So the only possible solution was large open trays with all the miniatures chucked in together, which was also not desirable. Therefore we tested our existing FS-LCG2 insert for medium boxed living card games and found that it fit well in the Promos box. This works with the box and plastic trays for the miniatures added on top. There is some lid lift, but otherwise this is a great way to store and organise your card decks from the expansion, especially if they are sleeved. You even have two small token trays for the new tokens.
When FS-LCG2 is used in this way the box lid will lift by 29 mm.
We also considered making a product for The infinity Gauntlet® expansion. However, as we would never be able to incorporate the plastic gauntlet itself, meaning it would always remain in the expansion box, it seemed better to leave the contents of that box in it's own provided plastic insert.
