This book contains a chapter for each creative discipline, featuring various recipes for creating a wide array of different items, from the mundane to the magical.

  •  Alchemy: Reveal secrets hidden within the natural world, and bend them to your purposes. Brew potions of familiar and unknown effect, from the average to the otherworldly! Three alchemical specializations allow players to create destructive, restorative, and alterative potions of all kinds.   •  Crafting. Set your hands to work to create clothing, armor, weapons, jewelry, trinkets, and other various oddities. Six specializations provide a wide variety of crafting options, allowing players to outfit entire parties, or even construct their own home base!   •  Enchanting. Turn the average into the extraordinary by imbuing mundane items with magical power. Whether by runes, scrolls, the help of a deity, or the involvement of something more sinister, learn the craft of making some of the most coveted items in the game. But beware: enchanters toy with fickle fate to infuse items with such power, and may be risking their health, sanity, and destiny to do so...

Following these chapters is a massive collection of magical and mundane items that can be both made, and used, in your games. These items vary from quirky and humorous, to legendary and deadly. The magic items are presented in a Magic Item Compendium, featuring 200+ magic items illustrated in beautiful color. These magic items can be purchased separately from the book in one of four Magic Item Decks for easy usage in-game:

  • Weapons & Armor
  • Rods, Staffs & Wands
  • Rings & Wondrous Items
  • Potions, Poultices & Powders

These decks are available both within pledge levels, and as add-ons once the project is complete!

The final card-count of these Magic Item Decks will depend on the ultimate number of items included in the book. While the book & decks will contain at least 200 magic items, this is always subject to increase, and may result in decks not including every single item (or may result in more decks being created, depending on funding... ;D)

The Ultimate Guide also introduces three fascinating new guilds known as Crafting Associations. To pursue alchemy, crafting, or enchanting, your character will join that discipline’s association, which grants them certain benefits and advantages, due to the association’s considerable influence. Your character will hone their craft and rank-up within the association over time, learning more varied and powerful recipes as their capabilities increase. 

But be careful: behavior and attitude can affect an individual's standing within any association, and those who don’t follow the rules could have considerable resources turned against them. When that possibility exists, is anyone foolhardy enough to take the associations on? Or would they, perhaps, continue crafting illegally, in secret..?

While The Ultimate Guide to Alchemy, Crafting, & Enchanting is written primarily from this perspective, it also provides alternatives to the association system, should your group prefer simpler, or more streamlined, methods and systems of crafting.
