Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Tournament AUG

When: Saturday, August 4th, 11:00am (Registration begins at 10am)

Entry Fee: $20.00 // 6 Hero’s Rewards – Includes a pizza lunch

Stronghold Members: Get a Hero’s Reward for participating.

Format: 3 Rounds, Teams of 2, 1000 points/Player, ITC Rules. We will use the Best Coast Parings program to track.  Scenarios will be chosen from the ITC scenarios, rulebook, and/or Chapter Approved.

Armies: We encourage our players to have all their models be WYSIWYG (What you see it what you get) to avoid possible confusion for your opponents. Simple conversions are allowed, but anything more extreme, or model substitutions, must be approved by the event organizer. We encourage you to always double check with us in advance before using non WYSIWYG models.

Teams:

  • Each team’s army is classified as the same army with the restriction of one faction per team removed. Each player’s individual army still has this restriction.
  • Maximum 2 detachments per player
  • Interactions for specific factions/abilities can work between ally armies providing they all contain the required key words. This does not mean you can name two different factions the same key word to try and circumvent this rule. (an ork weirdboy cannot use da jump on a unit of space marines even if the space marine chapter you chose to name them is “speed freaks”)
  • Unique Characters are unique to the entire team army (no armies with two Sly Marbos or two Magnus the Reds etc.)
  • Strategems can only be used once per team per phase and all command points are shared. (3 for battleforged + the amount generated by detachments in both players lists)

Prizes: $20.00 per person (minus the cost of lunch) is all put towards the prize pool. Prizes given for Top three players, best painted and best sportsman.

Painting: Your Army does not need to be painted and based but it is always better to play with and against a fully painted and based army. There is prize for best painted (voted on by your peers). Armies that are not fully painted do not qualify for this prize.

40K Tank Fight

Battle of the Behemoths

Sudden battles between opposing forces of mobile scouts, armoured tanks, flying aces and monstrous creatures engage in a test of the vehicles crew, armour and armoured skin alike.  The roar of engines bellowing thick black smoke, the hammering blasts of cannons and the tearing of armour will be heard echoing throughout the debris-clogged streets of Hamilton.

Bring: Up to 500 points of a single tank, flyer or monstrous creature to this battle of the titans and see if you can survive until the end.

Prizes for BEST PAINTED (tank or monster voted by participants entered in the event) as well as MOST SUCCESSFUL (tank or monster with the most points at the end of the event) will be awarded.

A FEW QUICK RULES:
